Allison Hagendorf is a TV personality and music journalist who currently hosts the Fuse Top 20 Countdown, and covers the biggest music festivals across the country including Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Warped Tour, and Voodoo Festival. Allison has interviewed artists of every genre including Eminem, Lady Gaga, Kings Of Leon, Justin Bieber, Drake, Katy Perry, Green Day, Akon, Ice Cube, Bruno Mars, and Cee Lo Green. In addition to Fuse, Allison contributes the music column, “Sound Advice from Allison Hagendorf” for Maxim.com, and hosts and produces the branded-content series for Steve Madden Music, which featured artists such as Lady Gaga and Katy Perry, prior to their global success.
Preceding her career of interviewing bands in front of the camera, Allison spent most of her time recording with bands in the studio. She served as a Sony A&R executive for 8 years (the first 3 were spent shadowing her “Encyclopedia of Music” mentor and former MTV VJ, Matt Pinfield.) While doing A&R at Sony’s Epic Records, she oversaw the production of metal moguls Lamb of God’s “Sacrament” album whose single “Redneck” earned a Grammy nomination for Best Metal Performance.
As a voiceover artist, Allison got her start as the voice of TJ Maxx and the Oxygen Network, and continues to serve as the voice for several national television commercial campaigns. She also provides the promo voiceover and narration for numerous popular shows on both MTV and VH1.
Additionally Allison is very passionate about Garden of Dreams, a non-profit charity that works closely with all areas of Madison Square Garden “to make dreams come true for kids in crisis”, including the program, Fuse Rocks The Classroom, which introduces high school students to the music television industry. Allison ran the 2010 NYC Marathon on behalf of the Garden of Dreams Foundation and completed the race in 3hrs 57 min.
