Allison Hagendorf  is the Global Head of Rock at Spotify, as well as a national television host/live announcer and music journalist.  She is the official host of the world’s most famous New Year’s Eve celebration, Times Square New Year’s Eve, seen by more than a billion television viewers across the globe. Allison also serves as the Live Announcer for both the MTV Video Music Awards and MTV Movie Awards, and is the host of Refinery29’s “Be A Badass” series, The CrossFit Games Live Show, and The X Games Live on ABC and ESPN.

Allison began her entertainment career in A&R at Sony Music’s Columbia Records and Epic Records.  She recruited new talent globally, and oversaw the album production for many artists including metal band, Lamb of God, whose single “Redneck” received a Grammy nomination for “Best Metal Performance.”

Hagendorf then transitioned from working with bands in the studio to interviewing them on-camera.  She hosted the live primetime music competition show on The CW Network, “The Next,” which was executive produced by hip-hop icon Queen Latifah, and featured superstar mentors: Gloria Estefan, Joe Jonas, Nelly, and John Rich.  Allison also became the main host on Fuse, hosting numerous shows including “Top 20 Countdown” and “Grammys Live,” and traveled with Fuse across the country covering national music festivals such as Bonnaroo, Warped Tour, SXSW Music Festival, and Lollapalooza.   She also hosted the first ever live television broadcast of both The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and The Stagecoach Festival for AXS TV, and  co-hosted “Music Fridays” with supermodel, Chrissy Teigen, on MSG Network. As for brand partnerships and branded content, Allison partnered with AOL and T-mobile to create the original music travel series, “Signature Sounds with Allison Hagendorf,” which showcased past and present music scenes across the country. She also launched lifestyle series “Steve Madden Music” with shoe guru, Steve Madden, in which each episode Allison sits down with artists like Lady Gaga and Katy Perry, and discusses how fashion and music go hand-in-hand. Allison also penned her own music/advice column “Sound Advice” for Maxim, and produced and hosted her own live show on SiriusXM “Cosmo For Guys With Allison,” on which she guided live callers on dating and relationships.

An established voiceover artist, Allison is the Live Announcer for various award shows and concerts including both the MTV Music Awards and Movie Awards, and the Z100 Jingle Ball. She has also served as the voice of the Oxygen Network, as well as the voice of national TV commercials for major consumer brands including TJ Maxx, Jergens Naturals, Gillette, and Verizon. She has also provided the promotional voice for the MTV shows, “The Real World,” “Teen Mom,” and “16 and Pregnant.”

Allison is also a nationally certified Health Coach and Behavior Change Specialist.  She guides her clients on nutrition, fitness, and behavior modification, is a regular contributor for the American Council on Exercise, and is a fitness model.  Allison is an avid CrossFitter, marathoner, snowboarder, and pole dancer.  She loves deadlifts and desserts equally.
