Sundance Film Festival 2013 – Bison on The Brain

Every year I attend the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, for 3 reasons: my love of film, my love of snowboarding, and my love of bison. Yes, bison. As a carnivore, Sundance serves as my annual mecca for meat, specifically bison which is a staple out west. Bison meat is lower in fat and cholesterol, yet higher in protein than beef, and honestly, I just prefer it. It’s leaner and cleaner, yet has all the flavor. Park City is a beautiful town with excellent restaurants such as High West Distillery & Saloon, the world’s first and only ski-in gastro-distillery and one of my favorite restaurants in the country, as well as the infamous No Name Saloon which is hands down one of my favorite bars on the planet. Both High West and No Name serve must-eat bison options AND both serve up excellent soundtracks. The meat and music in both are on point. #WomanVersusFood Approved
